First and foremost, HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE, I hope you're enjoying your day and whilst I'm sure it's over for some of you already, I've still got a few hours left of this day to present to you this final gift.

Now I know I've already gone through all this stuff in a previous journal but I'm just going to add to that. It's been a good six years with this account, it's helped to make friends with amazing people as well as discover some of the best artists I've ever known. It's brought so much to me and I'm greatful for that, but alas it's time to move on, and no I'm not leaving dA, I'm just leaving this name. I felt like whilst there was good, there was bad and all those really low times and maaaad depression has now attached itself to the name and for me to get away from that I needed to start anew.

And oohh what a new venture it will be, I'm now horribly enthusiastic about my future and I will show that in the artwork I produce on my new account. I mean you could already tell with the last few pieces I've uploaded, especially that SONIC CD contest pic (which btw also had the name of my new account on it) which won the grand prize to my surprise despite having only worked on it for a day, real confidence booster there! And like I said I'm going to ride this bitch to the BITTER END...END OF TIME! YES THAT SOUNDS LONGER!

Anyways I don't actually have that much to write ehehehe, and I know this will be a bit of a bummer for some of the new watchers I accumalated recently but here ladies and gentlemen is my new account!



Thank you for all the views, watches and comments you've given this account over the years and I hope we can have many more times on my new one, if you're willing to jump aboard that is~

Awwwh yeahhhh, I won a grand prize, I totally wasn't expecting it! Afterall I did the whole image the day before the deadline, well technically the day before the day but I got my dates mixed up and ended up in a flurry of panicky paintyness. Anywho was pretty bummed out at first because I didn't even get an email, I was fine with not getting the grand prize but not even a runners up? I was proper gutted by this, then suddenly later on in the day pops up on skype and tells me DUDE YOU WON, and I'm like whut. I rushed to the sega blog and scrolled like no other to find my pic in the grand prize category.

I tell ya.

I lost  my shit.

I will treasure the FUCK out of the soundtrack! And the game, I hope it's for a console XD I already bought the game on iOS but I really want to play with a joypad~ Ahhh so happy I won, and CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THOSE WHO GOT A PRIZE, we should celebrate this, with drinks, streamers, explosions, ohhh definitely explosions! Michael Bay/Tokusatsu style up in here!

So like I spent all of sunday working on my piece from scratch to finish for the Sonic CD contest run by sega, did not get much sleep and then found out that the deadline was today, FML. At least I finished it and sent it away before the deadline xD Though a question for those who entered, or even those who kept an eye on it, how long until we're allowed to upload our pictures?

It is indeed on the horizon for 5 years, well soon to be 6 I've been SHADOWPRIME, but no longer because as of January I'm going to jump ship to a new account! I thought that with everything I'm attempting to do now, a new fresh start will be a great motivator for me, however I also thought for a good number of times this past year that the name Shadowprime, whilst it is what I'm known for it feels a bit....well to be honest childish, I mean the name was concocted from my two major fandoms at the time, Shadow obviously being from the good ol sonic franchise with Shadow the hedgehog and Prime came from the moniker of the supreme commander of the Autobots! So yeah this new name I'll be operating under will be a bit more personal and made sorta from scratch, you can tell how I made it quite easily but I think it's a nice fit for who I wish to be in the future.

Though don't take this as a sign that I'll stop producing the things I love, this is in by no means me abandoning sonic or fanart in general, I'll be doing the same on the new account however hopefully in a much more productive manner with a lot more personal artwork thrown into the mix.  It'll also hopefully be better organised seeing as people often say they can barely find my artwork when they visit my page. This page will be a new wave of quality from me! I mean just by the pages I've done recently, while they're not perfect I do feel that I've improved a fair bit and once again to be honest I....I've been very up and down in the art field as of this past year, I've been in a horrible slump that has left me sometimes wishing to cease being an artist because I had so little faith in myself.  However working so hard on some of the things I've been working on lately I feel the spark that made me make this account all that time ago just burn up again. I mean the comic I just did I spent almost seven days straight working on it, where did all this dedication come from?! It was like someone just opened a door and it just all spilled out, and I'm even working on stuff now, I haven't been this consistent in years it's incredible!

I wish to ride on this new wave of enthusiasm from here on out and the new account will signify the start of that journey! But I'm not going to reveal the new account jussst yet. First off I need to prepare the account for the transition, on there I'll be posting some of my newer pieces to that account that I won't be posting here, I'll still post a few more things here like the comic I did for STC-O and my Sonic Anniversary piece but aside from that, those will be this account's final deviations. Oh oh and of course this account won't be shut down, since I'm too lazy to transfer all of my deviations over I'll keep this as an archive account, I may perhaps move some over to the new account that I really like to pad the new account out a bit but the majority will definitely be staying here, going nowhere.

Hummm what's left to say....oh yeah, Thank you! Thank you to all my Friends and Watchers who've stuck with me even through the months of Inactivity and I really hope you stick around for the new account because you're all horribly fantastic people. So with that said expect my final deviations throughout these last two months of 2011 and a link to my new account hopefully on January the 1st if I'm not dealing with a hangover
