My latest piece of work, which I'm amazed I managed to finish in a day XD whoooo that was a lot of time.
Anyway its good ol sonic sporting the RC look Xd he's just arrived at the scene and pwnage did occur resulting in the villain asking who the heck this punk hedgehog is for crashing his party
The quote here is from Kamen Rider Decade, a rider with no home and is always moving, something akin to our lil hedgehog here so I edited the quote "you bastard, who are you?" "Just a passing through Kamen rider....Remember that!" into the quote you see above.
I hope you enjoy this piece cos I loved making it ^^ and I've never mentioned this but I'm up for crits on this, always improving for SOS
Sonic and co (c) to sega Art by Moi SHADOWPRIME (Miles)
I don't think I say this too often~ *SHADOWPRIME, I don't believe that there are enough deviations in your gallery that either justify or portray your true potential. If I were told at this moment to pick a deviation in your gallery that shows what you're capable of, this would be the piece I would pick.
Pieces of this work do show that this only took a day's work to achieve, but it's the merging of the other factors that mask this fact; my only niggle is that the inking of the characters is a tad wobbly (evident a little more on parts of the anatomy that require a steady stroke, such as the arms and quills), however this plays as both a strength and a flaw- the texture, nature and colours of the piece suggest a printed comic book feel, and gives the picture more of a hand-drawn feel to the entire composition so in many ways this still works in the piece's favour.
All of the colours work well together, nice and saturated, working well with the texture in places, and definately enjoying the semi-scratchy feel to the inkwork in places like the dustclouds on the ground- The shading style also works extremely well, and the colours for each of the characters well chosen and adding to the atmosphere; perhaps could be a tad harsher on characters like Knuckles and Shadow, who are closer to the blast and therefore would have a harsher light-shadow play on the pair of them. But as it stands, it's still fine. The characters are also stylised very nicely, and in turns works with all the other above factors to achieve a very dynamic piece!
Overall, you should be proud you managed to whip this out in a day; it's a composition that has a lot to look at, is very well-balanced and it something I would like to see more of! Although, with you drawing more these days, I shouldn't have to worry about seeing more like this really soon, huh? (No pressure) Very good work!
